 Exhibition: Skin, Me, Body


A comprehensive exhibition is being held at SALT Beyoğlu to reflect the practice of more-than-forty-years works of İpek Duben who has made significant contributions to Turkish art.


“Skin, Me, Body” exhibition which deals with the topics ranging from male violence to social gender, from immigration to consumption habits offers a new perspective on the artist's production.
The exhibition re-evaluates the artist's paintings and figures from the early 1980s and her 2020 work ‘Melekler ve Soytarılar (Angels and Clowns)’. In addition, the Şerife (1980-1982) series in which she demonstrates a flower-patterned dress is presented together for the first time in forty years after it was screened at the Istanbul State Fine Arts Gallery.
