 Designer Issey Miyake Passed Away

Japanese designer Issey Miyake, who stood out with his modern techniques and experimental designs, passed away at the age of 84.

After working for Guy Laroche and Hubert de Givenchy for a while, Miyake established his own brand in 1970 and created contemporary collections by combining futuristic lines with technological elements.

The Pleats Please collection, which consists of pressed pleated pieces and is inspired by the Fortuny dresses of 19th century Venice, is among the most important works of the designer.
