The Olympics, which had been postponed due to the pandemic, were held in Tokyo this year. Vakko, a well-established fashion brand, designed the daily and ceremonial clothes of Turkish athletes. The colors of the Turkish flag, red and white, were used in the clothes prepared in two different categories as travel and ceremonial.
The logo designs of the national clothing were designed by Les Benjamins' creative director Bünyamin Aydın. Aydın stated that the logo was inspired by carpet and kilim patterns, which have an important place in Turkish weaving culture.
