This year's theme of the festival, which has brought together nearly 45,000 artists from all over the world with music lovers from Istanbul, is Istanbul. Important ensembles such as Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra, Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra and star soloists such as Anna Prohaska, Gautier Capuçon and Alice Sara Ott will take part in the festival.
In the festival, composer and educator Prof. Özkan Manav will be presented with the Honorary Award, and maestro and composer Tan Dun will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Festival will be held at Beyoğlu - Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM), French Palace, Tophane-i Amire Culture and Art Center, Emirgan - Sakıp Sabancı Museum Fıstıklı Terrace, Harbiye - Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall and Harbiye Saint Esprit Cathedral, Kadıköy - Süreyya Opera, Yeldeğirmeni Art Center, Kadıköy Hemdat Israel Synagogue, Bahariye Aya Triada Greek Orthodox Church and Moda Virgin Mary-Assumption Church.
