3D Fashion Design Programs and Functions

With the development of technology, three-dimensional (3D) modelling software has become widespread in most sectors.

3D Fashion Design programs, which are also used in the ready-to-wear and fashion industry, provide the connection and fast interaction between the customer and the manufacturer. With this software, virtual samples can be presented to customers and online interactive criticism can be made. 3D Clo program is the most preferred 3D Fashion Design software program in the world, which can produce real-like clothing in a virtual environment. The software, which can be easily used by both fashion designers and patternmakers, consists of a 2D view where clothing patterns can be created, and a 3D view where we can see the sewn version of the clothing by dressing the patterns created on the 2D view on a virtual model. With the features in the program, a perfect reality can be achieved with virtual models, and virtual fashion shows, where we can adjust the stance of the product, the fall of the fabric, the fit of the pattern and the fabric.
In 3D Fashion Design Programs, many features are present – namely virtual fitting in real body sizes; woman, man, child avatar; unlimited colour combinations and variants; virtual fashion show; animation; visual-video turntable and high-resolution rendering; virtual fabric library consisting of the most used fabrics in the sector; textile surface creation, enhancement and manipulations; virtual sewing techniques and virtual sewing techniques, virtual graphic and accessory work (button, trim, zipper, etc.). They are compatible with all other computer-based mould programs. Patterns created in other programs can be transferred to the Clo program in DXF – ASTM / AAMA formats. The program has become widespread in the sector and is among the most preferred programs by ready-made clothing companies, as it allows the design, the creation of the pattern, and the sewing of the pattern created in the virtual environment.
