30th Koza Young Fashion Designers Competition Results

This year's applications for the Koza Design Contest, which has been organized every year for the past 30 years, which enables the discovery of young designers who want to be recognized and pursue a career in the fashion industry, were received in July. As a result of online evaluations and face-to-face interviews, 10 finalists were determined; 10 finalists selected as a result of face-to-face interviews were given workshop and consultancy support during the preparation of their collections. Finalists Özlem Kaya presented their designs to the world at the 30th Koza Young Fashion Designers Competition Gala Night after months of work under the mentorship of Şansım Adalı, and the winners were announced. Melis Küçükyılmaz was third, Şakir Buldan was second, and Maide Özer was first.
Competition jury creativity, idea and concept, transfer of the chosen theme to the design, form, collection integrity, use of materials, originality, suitability for design, use with accessories, harmony of materials, application and sewing, model analysis (application from 2 dimensions to 3 dimensions), sewing They evaluated criteria such as quality and finishing, mold and fit, wearability (Commercial Potential).
The winner of the contest was awarded 100,000 TL, the second prize was 75,000 TL, and the third prize was 50,000 TL. One-year English language education in Turkey was among the awards for participation in the Fashion Design and Management Master Class Diploma Program, one of the advanced education programs of the Istanbul Fashion Academy.
