Is Movement of Objects Possible with Ultrasonic Waves?

Ultrasonic waves are high-frequency sound waves beyond the hearing capacity of the human ear. These waves, after emanating from a source, hit objects and are reflected or penetrated. These reflections or interactions inside can cause objects to move. The effect of ultrasonic waves on moving objects depends on factors such as the frequency of the waves, their intensity, and the duration of application. Generally, the greater the intensity of ultrasonic waves, the greater their effect on objects. In addition, high-frequency ultrasonic waves can focus more on the surface of objects and act more precisely. The effect of ultrasonic waves to move objects can be used in many applications.

Generally, the greater the intensity of ultrasonic waves, the greater their effect on objects. In addition, high-frequency ultrasonic waves can focus more on the surface of objects and act more precisely. The effect of ultrasonic waves to move objects can be used in many applications. For example, ultrasonic waves can be used for cutting or welding materials used in many industrial processes. At the same time, ultrasonic waves can be used in materials characterization, material testing, and quality control processes. In the medical field, the moving effect of ultrasonic waves is used in techniques called acoustic levitation or acoustic cavity. These techniques allow ultrasonic waves to vibrate an object at high speed so that the object is suspended in the air. These techniques can be used in the manipulation of biological samples and microchip technology.
An example is medical imaging devices using ultrasonic waves. These devices are used for imaging tissues inside the body. Ultrasonic waves are sent to the body with the help of a head under the device. These waves are reflected by hitting the tissues in the body, and an image is created by processing these reflections by the computer. The intensity and frequency of ultrasonic waves can change the movement and vibration of fluids within tissues. In this way, ultrasonic waves can cause tissues to move in some cases. Another example is the restoration of works of art using ultrasonic waves. The vibration created by ultrasonic waves can help remove dirt and deposits in the paint from its surface. At the same time, ultrasonic waves can help process the solutions used during restoration.
As a result, there are several instances where ultrasonic waves move objects. However, the size and shape of the objects moved by ultrasonic waves depend on the frequency, intensity, and application time of the ultrasonic wave used.
