The Giant Energy Project
Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark have signed the giant energy project.
It is planned to increase the wind energy capacities in the North Sea by 10 times by 2050 in the energy project signed by four EU countries. It is aimed to quadruple the energy capacities to 65 gigawatts by 2030, and to increase 10 times to 150 gigawatts by 2050. "This means that as four countries, we can supply more than half of all the overwater wind needed to achieve climate neutrality in the European Union," said Denmark Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. The wind farms to be built will be located off the North Sea coast of the four countries.
