Technology Developed to Detect Alzheimer's in Early Stage
Developed Algorithms Provide Early Detection of Alzheimer's
Researchers at Imperial College London have announced that they have developed an algorithm that can diagnose Alzheimer's with 98 percent accuracy. With this technology, the study, which was carried out on the data obtained from 400 people, was carried out with a high degree of success. They were able to get results after 12 hours using MRI technology used in hospitals for diagnosis. In order to detect abnormalities, the size, shape and tissues in 115 regions of the brain are examined by the system, and Alzheimer's diagnosis is made according to these data. Professor Eric Aboagye of Imperial College London, who led the study, said, "No other simple and widely available method currently can predict Alzheimer's disease with this level of accuracy, so our research is an important step forward."
