Biopsy used in the detection of cancerous tissue is a very difficult process for patients. The device developed to eliminate this situation has succeeded in eliminating the need for biopsy to a great extent. Researchers from Stevens Institute of Technology said they had developed a low-cost handset that could provide easy access to cancer diagnosis. Negar Tavassolian, the director of the Bio-Electromagnetics Laboratory at Stevens, who states that their goal is not to get rid of the biopsy says "We only want to provide doctors additional tools and help them make better decisions."
