Samsung Delays Transition Date to 3nm Production Process

Today, Samsung operates as the world's second largest manufacturer of chips. It was expected that Samsung will switch to the 3nm fabrication process by the end of 2021. At the Foundry Forum 2021 event held in China, it was announced that the company will start the 3 nm fabrication process in 2022. With 3nm production technology, Samsung aims to achieve 45% less usage area, 35% higher performance and 50% less power consumption compared to the 7nm process.
