Within the scope of the call, at least one user who will use the product to be developed and at least one designer company that performs chip design will come together, and product and commercialization-oriented design projects that emerge because of this cooperation will be supported. A 50 percent grant will be given to the companies that will apply, and support items will include IP blocks license purchase, technical training, and consultancy services, prototype production, and some of the software license fees. A chip manufacturing facility investment has been made at the TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus. With the commissioning of this facility, it will be possible to manufacture uniquely designed chips in Turkey and Turkey will be among the global players in chip production. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank stated that they will support the development of domestic chip design solutions by bringing together large companies and small chip designers. He also stated that the design of Çakıl, Turkey's first national processor, was carried out by local engineers and that these chips can now be produced in Turkey. With this initiative, Turkey's capacity in the chip industry will increase, domestic chip designs will be preferred, and the country's presence in the world will be strengthened in areas with high-added value.
