Domestic and national flying car 'Tusi' attracted great attention at TEKNOFEST

TEKNOFEST, where thousands of technological products produced were exhibited, ended. One of the vehicles that attracted the attention of technology lovers was the domestic and national flying car 'Tusi' developed by university engineers.

The Aviation, Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST), which was held for the second time this year and brought together thousands of technology lovers, brought together interesting technological tools. Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), which is one of this year's participants of the fair held at Ataturk Airport between 17 - 22 September, attracted attention with its flying car. Engineers participating in the fair with rockets, flying cars and Fighting Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (SİHA) gave information about the vehicles to the visitors during the fair.

“WE BELIEVE THAT IT WILL BE A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION TO ALL WORKS”
Saying "Flying car was my childhood dream", Chairman of the Board of Trustees of IGU Abdulkadir Gayretli, "TUSI, an invention of Turkish engineers who are open to development, has remote control and central driving features. It is a one-man vehicle that travels both on land and in the air. It will soon be designed as a double and quadruple. We believe that our flying car, which we aim to be used in civil and military aviation, health or cargo transportation, will inspire all studies in this field.”
“OUR SUPPORT TO EVERYONE WHO PRODUCES PROJECTS IS ENDLESS”

Stating that they have always supported the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) as a board of trustees, Abdülkadir Gayretli concluded his speech as follows:

“Our students and engineers are doing great things. Moreover, they do this not only in our engineering departments, but also in many departments in our university. The patents we have received are a reflection of this. It was a great honor for us to participate in TEKNOFEST with three different vehicles. Our support is endless for anyone who designs or produces beautiful projects. I congratulate everyone who tirelessly gave information about the vehicles, participated in the competitions and designed these vehicles throughout the fair.”
NEW MODEL WORKS WILL BE DONE
Providing information about the features of the vehicle, Engineer Furkan Yılmaz from IGU TTO said, “In our flying car project, we will be able to safely travel a passenger both on land and in the air. Thanks to its three-wheel structure and one front-wheel drive electric motor, our vehicle can provide a long range on the ground. It also has a certain range in the air thanks to its 6 independent brushless motors. We will provide the flight with the new model studies of the vehicle by obtaining flight permits from the General Directorates of Turkey and European Aviation.
