In Turkey, the carpet industry has an important place in the economic development process due to its significant share in exports. The reason of this is the added value it creates in the production process together with the employment opportunities it provides. Approximately 85% of the carpets produced in Turkey are machine-made and 89% of this amount belongs to Gaziantep. With the investments made in Gaziantep in the recent period and the capacity increase in this direction, it has become one of the leading machine carpet production centers in the world. Although the market is constantly changing with its dynamic structure, there are currently around 135 active machine-made carpet producing companies in the region. The number of companies here has exceeded 250, with direct service providers including carpet export-trade, materials, machinery, maintenance and service. The competitive gains of companies in foreign trade are the process of rapid renewal of products with advanced quality, timely delivery to the market, customer-based approach and low cost. In order to maintain this positive return, it is very important to create new and original carpet patterns and to respond to customers' requests accurately and on time, especially in international competition. One of the basic and indispensable requirements of the sector is to increase the capacity of human resources in carpet pattern design and application and to train designers to be employed. For this purpose, Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters' Association has a wide variety of activities. The first step taken was "Computer Aided Carpet Pattern Design Training". With this step, great gains will be made in the name of facilitating the adaptation processes of the designers who will graduate with Gaziantep to the sector.
The General Conditions in the Application are Determined as follows;
Having graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts or being able to graduate at the end of the spring semester. (Especially the departments providing carpet, textile, design and similar education will be preferred.)
The Education and training (course) will be held in collaboration with the Design Academy, the NedGraphics Authorized Training Center.
