According to the information compiled from the "Transportation 2053 Vision" report prepared within the scope of the Transport and Logistics Master Plan, Turkey aims to increase the number of airports, which is currently 57, to 61 in 2053 by completing Çukurova, Rize-Artvin, Bayburt-Gümüshane and Yozgat airports.
In addition, it is envisaged that the Esenboğa, Antalya and Trabzon airports will be expanded and the second phase of Istanbul Airport will be built. In this context, it is aimed to increase the annual number of passengers from 112.4 million to 202.8 million by 2053.
