According to the announcement made on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, the $2 billion deal includes the sale or lease of up to 50 VX4 air taxis from Vertical Eurospace Corporation. The agreement includes a strategic study between Avolon and Gözen Holding to commercialize electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) in Turkey. The deal is considered a milestone for Avolon, one of the world's largest jet charter companies, which made an early investment in flying taxis. The Dublin-based company had purchased 500 eVTOLs from Vertical in June, subject to conditions including regulatory approval.
