TAXATION MOVEMENT FOR AIRCRAFT FUEL EMISSIONS
While the European Commission is trying to set targets for tackling climate change, it is preparing to set an EU-wide minimum tax rate for aviation fuels.
According to Euronews news, the commission aims to reduce EU greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels. In order to achieve this goal, it is working on EU energy taxation clauses as part of the package of measures it will propose on 14 July.
