Denmark-based world giant shipping company A.P. Moller-Maersk announced that it will start flights on two new airline cargo lines between the USA and the People's Republic of China. The announcement was made by Michel Pozas Lucic, Head of Maersk's Global Air Freight Division, at a press conference on Tuesday, April 04, 2023.

With these two new airline cargo lines, it is aimed to transport heavy cargo, which is sensitive in terms of delivery time and high value, between these two countries, which are the world's largest markets.

These flights will initially operate twice a week between Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) and Shenyang Taoxian International Airport (SHE), and twice a week between Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) and Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH).

In the press release, it was stated that these flights will be increased to three per week as of May 2023. For these flights, Maersk Air Cargo, Maersk's in-house cargo carrier, had recently purchased three Boeing 767-300 freighters.

Maersk previously started a new three-week air cargo service with Maersk Air Cargo between Billund, Denmark, and Hangzhou, China, on March 20. About 15 days after the celebrations of this service, it started to offer two more new services to its customers.
