Airline Travel Status According to IATA Data

The International Air Transport Association (IATA_International Air Transport Association) surveyed 4,700 travelers in 11 countries and shared the results. According to the survey, each of the participants plans to make at least one airline trip in the summer of 2023. These data show that the days of the epidemic will be left behind and things will get better. On the other hand, airline travel reservations between March and September 2023 increased by 35 percent compared to the same period in 2022. 79 percent of the survey participants reported that they planned at least one airline trip between June and August 2023.

While 85 percent of the participants said that they expected some disruptions in their airline travels due to the busy travel season in June-August, 80 percent stated that they believed that the problems encountered during the epidemic period were solved.
According to the airline travel reservation data, the growth rates in the regions will be as follows:
Asia Pacific region (134.7%)
Middle East (42.9%)
Europe (39.9%)
Africa (36.4%)
Latin America (21.4%)
North America (14.1%)
Expectations are high for the air travel season for 2023, according to Nick Careen, IATA's Senior Vice President of Operations, Safety, and Security. Many of the passengers will make their first trips after the epidemic, and there may be some disruptions, but there are expectations that some airports will not experience disruptions in 2022. To meet the increasing demand, airline companies are planning tariffs that will not exceed the recommended capacity of airport administrations, border control authorities, ground service providers, and air navigation service providers. According to IATA, this is one of the main ways to achieve the goal. Emphasizing the importance of cooperation and the unrest among airport workers in France, Careen stated that contingency plans should be made for such developments.
