 Turkish Airlines Restarts Stopover Accommodation Service


If your plane stops for a while to drop passengers at a certain point or for operational reasons, and you continue to your destination with the same plane, this is called a stopover.


 As in the past, Turkish Airlines has started to offer such passengers the opportunity to stay at a hotel in Istanbul free of charge. THY started to provide this service in 2017 and took a break due to the COVID-19 outbreak. In the statement made by the THY Press Office, passengers using Istanbul as a transfer center will receive a hotel check after their ticket purchase, for 1 night in a 4-star hotel for 'economy class', 2 nights at a 5-star hotel for 'business class', plus an agreement. started to provide accommodation in hotels with prices starting from $49 per day. After staying in free hotels, the stay can be extended at contracted hotels.
 
While it has been reported that more than 57 thousand transfer passengers from 42 countries and 108 cities have had the privilege of discovering Istanbul with this application, it has been noted that it is aimed to expand the application to 15 new countries in 2022. It was stated that the 15 countries in question will be Kenya, Zambia, Mozambique, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Nepal, Argentina, Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
