 Antalya-based New Airline Company Established

Turkish-origin tour operator companies, headquartered in Russia, continue to establish new airline companies. In this context, for the first time, the Pegas company established a company called Southwind. The second airline company to be established based in Antalya will be MGA Aviation. MGA Aviation received preliminary permission from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation.

The company to be established under the name of Mavigök-MGA will be within the body of Anex. It is stated that the company will start its operations with two Boeing 737-900 and two Boeing 777 type aircraft. Pegas currently owns two Russian-licensed airlines, Nordwind and Pegas Fly, and Anex owns Azur Air.

It was reported that the company's technical, engineering, accounting, finance, logistics and quality organizations are ready, and the process regarding the employment of departments such as flight operation, cabin services, crew planning, operation control center continues. On the other hand, it was stated that the company will hire an experienced flight crew for the fleet of 4 aircraft, and this will be determined as 50 pilots. It is stated that there are applications but not enough applications can be received because there is a transfer ban, so foreign pilot employment may be in question. The company, which will make flights mainly to Russia in the first place, will later expand to other markets.
