Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoglu said that despite the negative impact of the pandemic situation we are in on the economies, there has been an increase in the number of flights thanks to the measures taken, and there has been a 43% increase in civil air traffic.
According to the statements of the European Organization for Air Navigation Safety (EUROCONTROL), the number of flights provided with air traffic control services was 626,67 in the 11-month period last year, this number was 896,521 in the same period this year, and there was a large increase, and civilian air traffic increased by 43%.
In addition, Karaismailoglu noted that the increase in air transportation, which is one of the most important data on the functioning of the tourism, trade, service and industrial sectors of the countries, is an indicator of vitality and dynamics in Turkey.
