First Dubai Airshow Since 2019 Is Set to Begin

Organizers of the Dubai Airshow expect the event to give the aerospace industry a boost after the Covid-19 crisis left a two-year gap in the international air show calendar.

The pandemic which began in March 2020, put a halt on the industry and caused many airplanes including A380s, to be grounded for many months.

With the flights being resumed, the A380s are being put into operation, with around 12 to 16 airplanes a month.

This year’s visitor attendance could hit the 88,000 mark. “The recent easing of travel restrictions in the run-up to Expo will allow people to travel if they are not being restricted by their home countries,” said managing director of DC Aviation Al-Futtaim Holger Ostheimer.
