Countries must Immediately Lift Travel Restrictions, Says IATA

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that the travel ban should immediately be lifted with the guiance of the World Health Organization (WHO), related to the Omicron variant found in late November 2021.  
IATA’s director Willie Walsh believes that the nations have reacted too quickly to the new Omicron variant. He also belives that there will be ways to cure the new disease and that the aviation industry will eventually get back on track.  
Since the discovery of the new variant in South Africa, countries across Asia and Europe practically closed their borders, due to the scare of the disease being spread.
