Insurance, Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency (SEDDK) President Mehmet Akif Eroğlu shared with the public the business plan he prepared with the relevant stakeholders for the solution of structural problems in traffic insurance, which is a compulsory type of policy for all vehicles registered in traffic, to be implemented in the short and medium term for compulsory traffic insurance. announced its new roadmap.
He stated that they are working for a road map in which all the stakeholders of the sector will win in the traffic insurance, which is obligatory to be made with this study, and in which the public interest is primarily taken into account.
Eroğlu stated that the roadmap for traffic insurance includes solutions to short, medium and long-term structural problems and that the roadmap described is a study that changed all the rules.
Traffic branch; It was reported that a great deal of effort was spent in the creation of this roadmap, as it is a wide area that includes titles such as insurance adjuster, insurance company, insurance agency and arbitration. He stated that although Turkey's highway infrastructure has reached the level of developed countries today, considering the problems on a branch basis, the most important damage rate consists of driver-related errors, therefore, efforts should be made to reduce driver-related faults.
In addition, Eroğlu stated that they have stepped into a very radical practice in which a 50% premium discount will be applied to the drivers in the 8th level who will be defined as very good drivers in policy renewal, and a 200% surcharge will be applied to the premiums of the drivers in the 0th level, which will be called a very risky step.
