Since the First Day of the Earthquake, Insurance Sector Started Claims Payments

In the statement made by Atilla Benli, the President of the Insurance Association of Turkey (TSB), he stated that the insurance companies have been working intensively since the first day of the earthquake and the insurance sector has started to make claim payments.
 
Stating that they continued their investigations in the disaster area after the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes, Turkish Insurance Association (TSB) President Atilla Benli stated that they are facing the biggest disaster of the century, but the insurance industry exists for these days and the insurance companies have been working intensively as one heart since the first day of the earthquake, he did.
 
Atilla Benli stated that, as all insurance companies in the sector, in order to quickly eliminate the grievances of the victims and to run the damage compensation process in the fastest way, they have taken and will continue to take many measures, such as opening separate lines in the call centers for the victims of the earthquake and establishing damage communication centers in the region. He stated that they are trying to speed up the process.
 
Stating that the share of the insurance sector in ensuring economic continuity is very large, he emphasized that the total number of policies including earthquake coverage in the earthquake zone is around 4 million when the fire, motor own damage, life and personal accident insurance policies, which include earthquake coverage as well as compulsory earthquake insurance, are taken into account.
 
It was stated that the importance of insurance is better understood at such times and this process will be managed in the best way in line with the policy conditions.
