At the meeting held by the Board of Directors of the Banks Association of Turkey on February 14, 2023, the current situation in the earthquake zone was discussed, and at this meeting, it was stated that the physical branch, ATM, mobile branch network was provided by evaluating the works to be done in order to continue the customer demands uninterruptedly and to prevent customer vulnerability at almost every point of the earthquake zone. .
In the relevant meeting, technical studies were carried out to expand the service network offered to the customers in a short time and to make the usable branches operational again in order to prevent customer disability, and cooperation opportunities were sought with all institutions for the preparation of temporary service units.
In the relevant meeting, primarily advisory decisions were taken in order to relieve the suffering of the customers affected by the earthquake.
The first decision is based on the non-cash loan commissions and existing loan commissions, which were made before 06 February 2023 and are due until 31 August 2023, regarding real and individual persons and commercial enterprises in the provinces of Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Osmaniye, Malatya, and Nurdağı and İslahiye in Gaziantep province. It has been announced that the debts / installments will be postponed for 6 months with no interest (without interest and delay interest) not exceeding 31.August 2023, as well as no collections will be made from member workplaces regarding lost / lost POS devices.
In addition, it has been decided that corporate and individual credit card fees and banking service commissions will not be charged for 2023.
