 About 2019-2020 Midterm Exams




Istanbul Gelisim University 2019-2020 Academic Year Spring Term Midterm Exams will be held on Monday, April 13, 2020, between 09.30 and 23.59 on Sunday, April 26, 2020, with the online exam system.
 
Between the specified dates, students will be able to take the exam online at https://lms.gelisim.edu.tr/ on the day and time they want.
 
In order to be included in the distance education system where the exams will be held, you must log in with your personal computer, tablet or mobile phone with internet connection.
 
Students will log in to the Distance Education System (LMS) with their student number and OBIS password.
 
The duration of the exam will be determined by the instructor himself. The student has no right to object to the determined period.
 
Students can take the exam on any day and at any time between the given dates.
 
After the exam period has expired, the student can enter the exam for the second time between 09.30 on Monday, April 13, 2020, and 23.59 on Sunday, April 26, 2020, without giving an excuse.
Exam questions and options may change when the student enters the exam for the second time. The exam will be completed at the end of the exam period of the second entry to the exam. The student who does not complete the exam in this session will be deemed not to have taken the exam and will not be given an excuse. For this reason, exams should not be left to the last day and last hours.
 
Students who leave the exam for any reason within the specified exam period can retake the exam before the exam period expires. As soon as the student leaves the exam, the exam period continues to run by the system. The student can re-enter the relevant exam before the session period ends. Unless it is compulsory, the exam should not be abandoned (For example, if the student leaves the exam at the 20th minute and takes a 10-minute break in an exam with a 40-minute exam duration, since the system continues the exam session time, when the student re-enters the same exam session, it is at the 30th minute of the exam and the student has a 10-minute exam. time left).
 
The highest grade obtained in the exam of the relevant course will be taken as a basis by the student who has used his/her right to two exams.
When students enter the exam for the second time, they will not be able to see the correct and incorrect answers in the first entry.
 
Students will be able to learn their exam results after Monday, April 27, 2020 at the earliest.
 
During the midterm exam weeks (8th and 9th weeks), the instructors will be able to continue their course uploads and the courses can be watched.
Exams are usually multiple choice and consist of at least 20 questions and at least 4 options. Instructors can make written (classical exam) exams for some courses.
 
When you make your markings on the questions and click the finish button, you will see the warning " YOUR ANSWERS HAVE BEEN SAVED". Your exam will be complete when you see this warning. On Sunday, April 26, 2020, at 23:59, the exam system will be closed to your access. If there are questions that you have not answered at the end of this period, they will be considered blank.
 
Copying and sharing exam questions in all kinds of media constitutes a crime under our laws and there is criminal responsibility for such actions. Exams of students who are found to have violated any ethics will be deemed invalid and a disciplinary investigation will be opened against them.
