Flying Car Both in Air and On Land

Flying Car Both in Air and On Land

Chinese automotive manufacturer Xpeng recently shared a new flying car. In the post shared, there were render images of the vehicle in their new projects.

In this week's information sharing, they published the first real flight image of the vehicle they shared the render image. Of course, this new vehicle introduced is not the final product. The information shared by the company officials for the car, which is still in the prototype stage, is that the vehicle is almost complete in many ways. In other words, it is stated that the mass production conditions that will allow a large number of production for the vehicle are very close.

In the flying car concepts introduced so far, the general theme was large drones carrying people. However, this situation is a little different for AeroHT introduced by Xpeng company. Because AeroHT doesn't just fly. The car can also be driven on land. The propeller system on the roof of the vehicle is visible in the images. Before the vehicle moves on the ground, the propellers that enable it to fly are folded and hidden in the large luggage area in the roof section and disappear.
In the tests conducted for the vehicle, both its lift-off and maneuvering capabilities are clearly demonstrated. We can clearly say that this flying car is at an acceptable light weight of 2 tons. The vehicle is, of course, fully electric. During its flight, the vehicle is controlled with a joystick instead of a steering wheel. In the tests of the vehicle, propeller failures were also simulated. It has been proven by tests that the design is safe.
