Two very large earthquakes occurred in the southeastern region of our country, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmaraş. Support from our country and the world continues to come to the regions affected by the earthquake.
According to the information received from the sector representatives, a briefing was given by Toyota and Lexus Turkey companies. In the statement, it was stated that from the first moment of the earthquake news, crisis desks were set up for crisis management. A campaign was launched for the region affected by the earthquake, with the contribution of all dealers and dealers' employees. Housing is currently one of the biggest problems for the earthquake zone. There are Container house projects initiated by government institutions, the Dude Association and many non-governmental organizations.
It was announced that these two companies will contribute 20 million TL to the projects initiated within the scope of these studies, and with this amount, nearly 500 container houses will be delivered to those in need thanks to the coordination of the Dude Association. Speaking about the earthquake and its effects, Toyota Turkey CEO Ali Haydar BOZKURT stated that our country is facing a disaster that has not been seen easily before. He said that an area of approximately 100 thousand m2 faced the devastating effect of the earthquake and that this disaster inflicted deep wounds.
Noting that the first days are of great importance in such disasters, BOZKURT stated that they were in contact with the region from the first moment and they managed the situation from the crisis desk. Adding that the recovery process will take years after such major earthquakes, BOZKURT stated that the region should continue to support development in the following periods.
