Cars Will Be Artificial Intelligence Boxes

The most important hardware and chip manufacturers in the world continue their investments and collaborations for the advancement of artificial intelligence. In this regard, 2 giants announced that they went to cooperation. In their joint statement, Nvidia and MediaTek announced to their investors that they will be in cooperation in the future to develop their systems and strengthen the existing ones for the vehicle that covers all these issues, whether it is video playback or game activity, as well as the ability to interact in the use of artificial intelligence. As part of Computex 2023, this announcement has been made public.

With the agreement announced as part of the Computex technology fair, MediaTek will include Nvidia graphics units and Nvidia software in the chipsets it will supply to the screens it has developed for buyers in the automotive industry. He said that the autonomous driving systems developed by the two companies and the new software and hardware to be used will work synchronously.

Within the scope of the partnership, MediaTek will take its share of the workload on driving sensors and connections, while Nvidia will especially focus on driver tracking, visualization, and artificial intelligence. Thanks to the combination of all these, vehicles will begin to turn into artificial intelligence boxes.

In his statement, Nvidia CEO stated that thanks to the strength of the two companies and their location, they are at a level to meet the needs of the automotive industry. He stated that the supply of software and chips for all different segments and needs in the automotive will be provided.

They are trying to gain a foothold in the market with different partnerships and products. Qualcomm and SalesForce partnerships have also announced their partnership for a similar system before.

We can say that the future of such systems is quite clear. In-vehicle infotainment systems are expected to make up a $12 billion cluster this year.

MediaTek CEO stated that they expect their first joint product to be on the market by the end of 2025.
