International Day for Protection of Children is organized to draw adults' attention to the consideration of children's rights such as freedom of thought, education, protection from violence and the right to live. Like the government, parents should recognize and respect children's rights and freedoms. This is stated in the Declaration of the Rights of the Child adopted by the UN in 1959.
