English is the most common language you can find on the Internet. This is followed by Russian and Spanish, respectively. English is spoken by roughly 18% of the entire world, while Mandarin Chinese is spoken by around 14% of the global population making up only 1.4%.
It's worth exploring how these projects can help revive language with a major donation round from the National Humanities Foundation leading to projects to digitize Native American languages earlier this year, and a few other projects to digitize indigenous languages around the world.
