Turkish Cargo, a sub-brand of Turkish Airlines, transported approximately 335 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine to 61 countries in 2021. Turkish Airlines (THY) Chairman of the Board Ahmet Bolat stated that they ensured that these transported vaccines are delivered to many parts of the world and are accessible, and said, "Turkish Cargo has undertaken a very important mission in terms of reaching vaccines for people in this geography, especially since the number of airlines operating flights to the African continent is low."
Turkish Cargo, the fastest growing cargo carrier in the world in 2021 during the pandemic, achieved a critical success with its vaccine shipments. In the statement made by THY, it was announced that Turkish Cargo, which can transport drugs, vaccines and medical supplies in all desired temperature ranges, is among the most desired air cargo brands for the transportation of health products with its fast and reliable service. It is stated that Turkish Cargo, which provides health products including vaccines to 132 countries of the world with its service called 'TK Pharma', reached a global market share of 8 percent in the health products category in 2021.
