 The New Journey of Scrap Planes Has Started


Two passenger planes, which have been standing in a scrap condition at Istanbul Atatürk Airport for many years, will be transported by land for upcycling and utilization in various fields.


Two passenger planes, which have been standing in a scrap condition at Istanbul Atatürk Airport for many years, will be transported by land for upcycling and utilization in various fields. The 57-year-old Antonov AN-12 cargo and the 42-year-old Airbus A300 type passenger plane from the time of the Soviet Union will be transported by road from Yeşilköy to Tuzla in Istanbul. Both expected the end of the legal process to remove the planes belonging to financially bankrupt companies. SkyArt company, which successfully completed the sale tender of the State Airports Authority (DHMI) as scrap, is considering evaluating the two aircraft from different perspectives.

 
SkyArt, which emerged entirely with Turkish capital and brought old-style passenger planes back to the economy with the aim of 'upcycling', offers decorative pieces from the aircraft studio for movie shootings, from the mock-up where cabin attendants of various scrap planes received their training, to the simulator center where safety training was given. they enable the realization of its transformation in various sectors such as targeted furniture and souvenirs.
