TUSAŞ Engine Industry AŞ (TEI) Chairman and General Manager Prof. Dr. Mahmut Faruk Akşit stated that they continue the mass production of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) engines. Akşit stated that the engine named TEI-PD170, which they developed and in the facilities established in Eskişehir, is the most important in its class in the world with its altitude capability and power capability at altitude in MALE class UAVs. Noting that this engine, which they produced to add power to the UAVs Anka and Aksungur, is a world leader in gaining fuel savings, Akşit said:

During the past 1-2 years, our mass production has exceeded 40. Our delivery and also negotiations for new orders continue. Our TEI-PD170 engine was developed for Anka in the first stage, but it flies in Aksungur. We delivered it to Baykar at the integration stage to TB3. They carried out their tests.
