               In order to understand why it is important that ANKA-3 can be used as a tanker, it is necessary to briefly touch on what a tanker means, albeit in its most general form. As you know, the fuel consumption of military aircraft is high because they accelerate to high speeds. If we continue with the example of the F-16, which Turkey uses most as a combat air force, even these relatively "small" machines have narrow fuel tanks. Fuel level is one of the most important factors affecting driving range. This is where refueling machines come into play. Tankers usually approach the target aircraft from behind the line and refuel using existing systems in the region needed in peacetime and in wartime. Thus, the war machine can successfully complete missions that exceed range values.
