The draft resolution stating that visa requests submitted by Turkey to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in the past period should not be unfairly rejected was accepted.

Ziya Altunyaldız, Turkey's representative before the PACE, made a statement on the subject and drew attention to the fact that Schengen visa refusals have increased 4 times and that Turkey is among the top 5 candidates. It has become the country with the highest rejection rate in the last 8 years. Noting that the consulates are constantly producing new visa types and requesting new documents, Çilek Visa explained what needs to be done about the applications. While Turkey's current economic conditions are cited as the main reason for rejection in the draft resolution, details such as high application fees, increased paperwork, introduction of new visa types and the requirement for face-to-face application are obstacles for applicants.

Strawberry visa founder Mertcan Durgut made the following assessment on the subject: "Due to the economic and political development of our country, getting a visa is getting harder day by day. In addition, the consulates are constantly issuing new visa types. Requesting new documents that create visa barriers for applicants is increasing the problems.

Mertcan Durgut stated that the documents required for visa vary according to the country of destination and shared the following information about visa applications: You must choose a type. Otherwise, they may encounter various difficulties not only here but also abroad. For example, if you decide to apply for a visa in the country where you intend to work abroad by obtaining a tourist visa, it means that you are in that country illegally. “This will result in deportation,” he said.
