National Platforms Will Be Invisible With ASELSAN

ASELSAN President and CEO Haluk Görgün talked about their work with radar suppression technologies and low visibility.

ASELSAN President and CEO Haluk Görgün talked about their work with radar suppression technologies and low visibility. Emphasizing that "radar absorption" is one of the issues they care about, Görgün noted that the scattered surfaces and areas of existing platforms should be well defined in order to better understand how, at what distance and from what distance enemy radars can detect the platform.

Görgün said that by developing a software called RAPID that can only be used in ASELSAN, he enabled the identification and development of materials and paints related to processing.

Görgün made the following assessments: "With this software, the platforms that need radar absorption can be the wing of the aircraft, part of the bullet, nose and tail. We have software that our local and national engineers have developed and added capabilities to. Then, the description of these areas should be prepared and materials according to the recipe should be prepared. and paint should be applied. We can do this again with our own analytical work. It requires serious talent, good material knowledge, optimization and engineering knowledge, chemistry, information technology and software. We have a unit where we collect them all. There are 25 full-time people working in this business for a long time. 5 We cooperate with different universities and we are developing in this field. There are also about 10 companies that we are responsible for the development of paints and various chemicals and we receive services from. We are making very good progress in making these analyzes for air, sea and land platforms and in the development of materials and paints that reduce surface spread National Combatant U We have work on this at çak and we will continue. Similar studies will continue for all other manned and unmanned platforms.”
