 Logistics Center: Gaziantep Airport

Gaziantep Airport has become a logistics center for foreign countries to help earthquake victims.

Gaziantep Airport has become a logistics center for foreign countries to help earthquake victims. More than 600 trucks were sent to the earthquake zones of the surrounding provinces from the airport, where aid materials sent from various parts of the world, from hospital stretchers to sewing needles, were sorted. An average of 15-20 rescue planes land at the airport every day, where forklifts unload and load cargo planes without stopping throughout the night. Every day, foreign military and civilian cargo planes arrive at the Airport, which is the receiving area for aid materials sent from abroad.
Nearly 50 countries, from sister country Azerbaijan to neighboring Greece, from Israel to the USA, from Russia and China to India, from Japan to Mexico, send their aid to this airport. Qatar, on the other hand, sends two giant cargo planes, one of which is military, almost every day.

Every day at the airport where 15-20 foreign military and civilian cargo planes land, from sewing needles to heaters, generators, blankets, food, kitchen and medical supplies, hospital stretchers to shoes, jackets, gloves, wood and coal stoves, all kinds of things needed in a house. auxiliary materials are ordered first. Gaziantep Governorship then stores these materials in warehouses. Afterwards, when aid materials are needed in the provinces, districts and villages in the earthquake zone, the aid materials classified for that region are loaded on trucks and sent. All necessary necessities are delivered to earthquake victims.
