While Turkey was preparing to send a workforce with the status of 'guest' to Germany after 61 years, information came from the German airline industry that it was 'temporary, not long-term'. Germany has approved the recruitment of personnel from Turkey in order to reduce the labor shortage at airports, especially in ground handling services, and the details of the process are expected to be clarified. The German Employment Agency (Bundes Agentur) reported that special permits were granted to airports applying to bring workers. With this temporary arrangement, Turkish workers are expected to work until 6 November.

Flughafen München, which operates Munich Airport, which is considered one of the international air traffic centers, stated that they are planning to recruit personnel from Turkey: “We are very happy that the German government offers the opportunity to recruit Turkish employees. However, even if it alleviates these problems, it will not be enough to solve them completely.
