The system was also tested on domestic flights at IGA Istanbul Airport for members of MilesandSmiles, THY's frequent flyer program within the Star Alliance. After the tests, the system will also be used on international lines.
MilesandSmiles member passengers using the system will be able to pass contactless from selected checkpoints, where the system will be applied, mainly within the scope of post-Kovid-19 health and hygiene measures. Passengers who wish to do so do not need to remove their masks using the Star Alliance Biometrics system, as Biometric ID allows identification while wearing the mask.
