İsmail Demir, who served as the President of the Presidency of Defense Industry, went to the main center of ASELSAN in Gölbaşı to make various visits and observations and received the necessary information about the status of the ongoing projects. Stating that the outputs of the Özgür Project, which is being carried out for the purpose of developing F-16 aircraft, are starting to be seen, Demir said that AESA is parallel to the radars applied at the most advanced scales in the world. Demir said, "The conversion of all the elements in the cockpit we made to the upper part to digital and in this context the nationalization of some of the products produced are continuing, and by ensuring that all of them can be coordinated to the upper part of the Turkish systems, we will be talking about an aircraft that will facilitate the use of our national weapons in these areas. "It is of critical importance by providing the cornerstones of our Combat Aircraft work. In this context, we have made it our aim to use our gains, experience and capabilities in the next process in the National Combat Aircraft." said. Demir stated that the F-16s will provide the services of the Air Force with much higher level capabilities and in an improved state: "Today, we will integrate the first application of our AESA radar, which we have seen, into our Akıncı for our unmanned systems. For the next process, we will integrate the F-16s. We will make such a radar and the electronic systems necessary for this use in our National Combat Aircraft." said.
